Prior to founding Calkins Advisors, Mr. Calkins
spent eight years as a business developer,
strategic marketer, and alliance builder for
Interactive Sports - a New York City-based
media company. During his New York City tenure,
Mr. Calkins was the lead negotiator for Interactive
Sports, one of the industry's most innovative
companies.
As the lead executive for Interactive Sports
- a media company focused on developed targeted
sports and entertainment brands - Mr. Calkins
was charged with developing new business relationships
to grow its proprietary brands Urban Sports
Network, Women's Sports Channel, Nutrition
Reports, and its daily news service ISWire.
Each media property was produced across multiple
media outlets including online, radio, television,
wireless, as well as offline events.
Mr. Calkins' focused effort resulted in relationships
with nationally recognized media, financial,
sports, technology, and entertainment companies
-- brands such as BMG Entertainment, American
Airlines, Loews Cineplex, Alamo Rent-A-Car,
MBNA, SkyTel, and Vibe magazine among others.
