A typical audience will include senior executives
working for companies with revenues between $1million
-- $50million. Our sponsors include WBIX The Business
Station, Inc Magazine, and Fast Company.
What Are The Benefits to Speakers?
Although speakers are not paid honorariums or
reimbursed expenses to present, our speakers have
found substantial value in their participation.
First, our audience is made up of decision-makers
poised for action. Speaker participation can lead
to increased sales of a speaker’s books,
consulting assignments, and/or positive exposure
to an elite group of businesspeople, conference
organizers, and potential sponsors. We also heavily
promote our breakfasts through online marketing,
direct mail, and radio promotions. If you’re
an author, we purchase an allotment of your books
for our audience of 30-50 attendees thereby providing
revenue or royalties to you and increasing your
unit sales. We also have other programs that can
strengthen your connection to business leaders
and which can yield positive feedback and increased
speaker engagements.
What Is The Format Of The
Calkins Advisors Power Breakfast?
Our events are held at conveniently located hotels
in the Boston area such as the Newton Marriott,
and Doubletree Guest Suites – Boston/Waltham.
Our events are usually held on a Wednesday or
Thursday starting at 7:30 AM. We ask our speakers
to arrive early so that they can mingle with our
attendees. This is also helpful in connecting
with the audience and shaping your remarks. At
8:00 AM sharp our speaker is introduced by company
founder, Greg Calkins and the presentation begins.
We ask our speaker to conclude by 9:15 AM after
a brief question and answer period. Greg Calkins
then makes closing remarks.
What’s The Company
Background?
Marketing executive, Greg Calkins, founded Calkins
Advisors in January 2003. A seasoned dealmaker,
Greg Calkins spent nearly a decade in New York
City as a senior executive for an innovative sports
media company. Greg led the firm’s efforts
in developing strategic partnerships and forged
alliances with some of the leading names in media,
technology, and sports and entertainment including
Viacom, Time Warner, BMG, Skytel, the National
Football League, and the National Hockey League.
Greg’s performance is built on the belief
that business success is achieved when executives
openly exchange the latest ideas and insights.
When this occurs, there are new relationships,
new opportunities, and business growth -- good
for partners, competitors, and the overall business
climate. Once Greg decided to re-locate his family
to the New England region, he founded Calkins
Advisors, creating a business with the sole focus
of connecting thought leaders to business leaders.
The Calkins Advisors Power Breakfast series has
attracted business leaders, politicians, and community
leaders in search of the best ideas for economic
growth, prosperity, and productivity.
